WHAT IS AN ESCAPE ROOM?

Most escape rooms, you get locked in a room and need to solve a series of puzzles to find the key to escape before the timer runs out.  The difference in our rooms is that your goal is not to get out, but solve the mysteries and complete the missions.  If you like Escape Rooms, you will love ours!!

 

HOW MANY PEOPLE CAN PLAY?

The amount of people depends on the puzzle.  Our "Doll House!" puzzle allows up to 8 people at a time. "Professor S" we allow 6 people at a time, Paranormal we allow 7.  We can increase this number for private parties.  Email us and let us know how many you would like and we'll find the best solution for your party.

 

WHAT IF WE DON'T HAVE ENOUGH PEOPLE TO FILL THE ROOM?

That's completely fine.  We open each time slot like a show.  You can attend as a party of 1, a party of 10, or anything in between.  Tickets not purchased by you are available to be purchased by anyone else.  So you may be playing with strangers.  We have found this can be a big help. Your friends are probably your friends because they think like you do.  Sometimes you need someone with a different idea to get you through part of the challenge.  We've had many people come as strangers and leave as friends.  Also, many of our fastest groups have been groups of strangers.

 

CAN WE HAVE MORE THAN THE LISTED MAXIMUM PEOPLE?

Yes!  For private parties that want to book the entire room, we can allow a few more people.  However, too many can get too crowded.

 

ARE THERE A MINIMUM NUMBER OF PEOPLE NEEDED?

No.  However, the rooms are very difficult.  We recommend parties of 4 or more for the most enjoyment.  If you have a small party of 2, we recommend booking a time slot you see another small party of 2 to join them, or ask a few friends to join you.  However, even if you don't finish the puzzle before the time limit is up, you will still have a blast trying.

 

WHAT IF WE DON'T WANT TO BE WITH OTHERS?

Then you will need to buy all the tickets for the room for that time slot to guarantee you have the room to yourself.  Many times if you purchase a majority of the tickets you will have the room to yourself.  But it's not guaranteed.  The only way to guarantee you'll have the room to yourself is to book all the tickets.

 

WHY DID YOU LOWER THE MAXIMUM FROM 10 TO 8 FOR THE PUZZLE IN THE THREE STORY BUILDING?

This was done because a few guests expressed they felt a little cramped with 10.  Listening to this feedback we decided to do 8 maximum for mixed parties of strangers.  However, for every guest that expressed 10 was too cramped, another guest would request to have more 12-15 people at time.  We listen and learn from our guests to provide the best possible experience.  If you would like to have more people in the room than currently allowed, contact us and we can make special arrangements for your own private group.

 

HOW SCARY ARE YOUR ROOMS?

At most our rooms are creepy. Each of our rooms has a mission with high stakes and a creepy factor.  We do that to give the room and challenge a great story and purpose.  We don't focus on scaring you.  We don't have things jumping out at you, screaming in your ears, or anything inappropriate.  We want you to focus on the challenge and not on facing your fears. We are very family friendly.

 

ARE YOU FAMILY FRIENDLY?

DO I NEED RESERVATIONS?

Yes!  We sell out often.  All reservations are done through our website.

 

CAN WE CANCEL OR RESCHEDULE?

You may do so up to 48 hours before your time slot.  After that time, there are no refunds or changes.

 

WHAT'S THE LATEST I CAN BOOK?

Our website allows you to book up to 2 hours before the start time of the challenge. After that, the time slot is removed from the site.  You will have to call us directly to book anything that starts in less than 2 hours. (714) 220-9596  Please leave a message as we may be busy helping guests.

 

HOW LONG IS IT?

We recommend budgeting 90 minutes total for everything.  You have one hour to complete the puzzle.  We ask that you arrive 15 minutes early to go over the introduction.  Most groups stick around 15 minutes afterwards to talk about the experience.

 

ARE WE REALLY LOCKED IN?

No.  Our puzzles are mission based, where you need to solve the mystery in time instead of trying to open a door.  Either way, all themes will have emergency exits.  You can leave at any time.  However, if you do leave, you will forfeit the puzzle and not be allowed back in.  No refunds will be issued.

 

WHAT HAPPENS IF WE DON'T FINISH THE PUZZLE IN TIME?

You will be killed.  I'M KIDDING!  Typically, we will allow you some time to finish the puzzle past the hour.  However, you won't have the pride of saying you beat the challenge unless you're really good at lying.

 

ARE CHILDREN ALLOWED?

Yes.  But use discretion.  Kids 12 and up are welcome.  Ages 8-11 must be accompanied by an adult.  Ages 0-7 we recommend only attending if part of a private booking.  Only you know your child and how they will behave, participate, and enjoy the experience.  Be mindful of strangers that may be in the room with you if you don't buy all the tickets.  We cannot control the opinions of and actions of others.

 

CAN WE TAKE PICTURES?

Yes and no.  You can take pictures of yourself, but please don't take pictures of the puzzle elements.  Also don't post any pictures.  Posting pictures can potentially reveal the puzzle and/or solution and ruin it for future players.  We advise just leaving your phone off in your pocket.  You won’t need it.

 

DO YOU HAVE FREE PARKING?

Yes.   We are located at Hobby City which has 100's of free parking spaces. However weekend days we compete with Adventure City Theme Park for parking.  Please arrive early to find parking during these time slots.

 

WHY ISN'T ANYONE ANSWERING THE PHONE?

Our phones are manned when our escape room is running.  However, even at those times we are busy working with guests on site.  Outside of our operating hours we are busy with our summer camps, directing theme park shows, designing our next puzzles, and raising a family. And, to be honest, 90% of our incoming calls at that time are from telemarketers.
